Does this trade make sense for the New Orleans Pelicans?
In a sense, this trade makes sense for the New Orleans Pelicans. While Kristaps Porzingis isn’t the same player he once appeared to be, he could be the team’s new center, pairing him with Zion Williamson.
Porzingis’ ability to space the floor would allow the team to avoid any congestion in the lanes like Adams did. At the same time, Porzingis isn’t the same defensive player as Adams.
Getting rid of Bledsoe wouldn’t hurt the Pelicans much, especially if they plan on finding a new point guard to replace Ball. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis Jr. would be enough to fill the void left behind by Bledsoe.
For me personally, a duo of Williamson and Porzingis wouldn’t excel together, so New Orleans likely wouldn’t make this trade. The theory of how they would mesh would likely be much greater than the reality.

With the Pelicans undergoing changes to the coaching staff, they need to ensure Williamson is content with the makeup of the roster.
