Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers could be looking at a complete overhaul this summer. They have to figure things out with their superstar point guard, Damian Lillard, who has trade rumors swirling around the NBA that he will eventually ask for a trade. He is not the only guard on the roster that has been mentioned in trades.
There have already been reports of a trade involving C.J. McCollum being probable, if not certain this summer. Regardless of which, if either, of their guards, are traded, Paul George makes for a great target.
If the Trail Blazers keep Lillard and trade, McCollum, George will help them get over the first-round hump, as they have failed to advance in four out of the last five years. Swapping him in for McCollum would give the Blazers some much-needed defense on the perimeter, as they have failed to slow down anyone in recent seasons.
The Trail Blazers wouldn’t be losing much offensively with George, as he would be a great complement alongside Lillard as the team’s No. 2 option. If the Trail Blazers were able to re-sign Norman Powell, they would have three good defenders in their starting five with those two and Robert Covington.

A McCollum for George swap helps balance out the Trail Blazers’ roster and gives them a much-needed defender to slow teams down on the perimeter.
