Myles Turner
While the NBA is shifting toward playing small-ball, the Los Angeles Lakers have found success playing two big men. They won the title in the Orlando Bubble starting a center alongside Anthony Davis and were having success again during the 2020-21 season before injuries occurred.
If the Lakers want to continue using a jumbo frontcourt, Myles Turner is an excellent trade target. Turner and Davis wouldn’t be your traditional jumbo backcourt because of the versatility both bring to the table.
Myles Turner is one of the premier rim protectors in the NBA, leading the league in two out of the last three seasons in blocks per game. In 2018-19 he averaged 2.7 per game and this season he was up to 3.4.
Offensively, Turner would not clog things up because he is a capable floor spacer. He is a 35.2 percent 3-point shooter in his career, so teams will have to pay attention to him on the perimeter. This would open the Lakers’ offense up, as a majority of Davis’ time in the purple and gold has been spent next to centers that don’t stretch the floor.

An addition of Myles Turner would help keep the Lakers at an elite defensive level while improving their offensive rating in the process.
