Toronto Raptors Receive: G CJ McCollum
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F OG Anunoby, F/C Chris Boucher, TOR 2021 1st Round Pick (Pick #4), MEM 2021 2nd Round Pick (Pick #46)

If the Toronto Raptors are going to make a play at a guy like CJ McCollum, then they are going to have to offer up a lot of assets to acquire him. OG Anunoby seems like the logical first asset to offer up since he is under contract for $72M over the next four seasons, but Chris Boucher is right behind him since he is entering the 2021-22 season on an expiring contract.

Boucher had his best year of his young career during the 2020-21 season and is definitely going to be viewed as an asset by Portland if he is offered up in trade talks even if they keep Jusef Nurkic on their roster. The 28-year-old big man averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and shot 38.3% from three-point range this past season, making him a very versatile and valuable center.

OG Anunoby is just as valuable as Boucher, but in a different way. After four seasons in the league, Anunoby has averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and has shot 48% from the floor, but this past year, he averaged 15.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and shot 48% from the floor.

He is everything that any team in this league looks for in a modern day wing, especially since Anunoby has the ability to guard virtually any position on the court, including frontcourt players. Portland has been very poor defensively throughout the years, which is why adding two guys who affect the game on that end of the court could make sense for the Trail Blazers if they were to trade McCollum.

As for the Raptors, whether or not they have Kyle Lowry, they will still need to find ways to add more scoring talent. Toronto ranked 19th in the league in scoring during the 2020-21 season and 16th in offensive rating, which is why they could really use the services of someone like CJ McCollum.

Is this trade worthwhile for the Toronto Raptors and the Portland Trail Blazers though? Let’s take a closer look at this proposed trade from each team’s perspective.
