Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Harrison Barnes
Sacramento Kings Receive: F Kyle Kuzma, C Montrezl Harrell

In this deal, the Los Angeles Lakers receive veteran forward, Harrison Barnes. In exchange, they are sending Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell to match salaries.

The thing that stands out from this deal is that there are no draft picks being exchanged. If the Lakers can retain their first-round pick in 2021, it gives them another avenue to upgrade their roster, whether it is by adding a cheap rookie contract or trading it away for another established player.

For the Sacramento Kings, they are receiving Kuzma, who is younger and locked into an affordable contract himself. Landing him would give Sacramento a player that has shown he can be a source of points from the wing.

In his first two seasons in the NBA, which happened to be with Luke Walton, the Kings’ current coach, he averaged 16.1 and 18.7 points per game.

Getting back to that kind of scoring production, with his improvements defensively, would be a good addition for the Kings. They need all the help they can get on defense and the improving Kuzma would provide that.

Harrell would give the Kings some much-needed depth in the frontcourt. He could provide energy and scoring with the second unit if Richaun Holmes is re-signed.

If Holmes, Hassan Whiteside and Damian Jones all move on this offseason, Harrell could slide into the starting lineup should Sacramento need him to.
