The Indiana Pacers have been aggressive so far this offseason in trying to upgrade their roster. They are the only team, thus far, to have presented an offer to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons. While they were rebuffed, they should still pursue a deal for the NBA All-Star.
Given their current cap situation, the Pacers are likely to be an active team on the trade market this offseason. They do not want to cross the luxury tax line and will do whatever they can to keep that from happening.
Aaron Holiday has been mentioned as a trade candidate. The former first-round pick has shown some flashes but has been unable to consistently put it together on the court yet in his career. Another name to keep an eye on is Myles Turner.
Indiana has been going back and forth on whether or not they should break up their frontcourt combination of Domantas Sabonis and Turner for a while now. Given the need for centers around the league, and Turner’s performance this season, this could be the time to do it.
