Atlanta Hawks: Jonas Valanciunas
The Atlanta Hawks were close to advancing to the NBA Finals, but the Milwaukee Bucks prevailed in the Eastern Conference Finals. Atlanta has a well-built roster with Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish, Danilo Gallinari, and Clint Capela.
It should be a priority for the Hawks to re-sign John Collins in free agency. While Capela performed well in his role, Atlanta could use a center that brings more on the offensive end, making Jonas Valanciunas a prime target. Valanciunas is a brick wall on both ends of the court and he’s a much better scorer than Capela.
Los Angeles Lakers: Buddy Hield
Strengthening the shooting on the roster around LeBron James and Anthony Davis is evidently the main focus for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason. The Lakers have used role players as their go-to shooters in recent years, but it has led to them having poor efficiency numbers.

Instead of leaning on role players to convert outside shots, the Lakers could acquire one of the best three-point marksman in the league in Hield. Hield would instantly become the third option in Los Angeles, putting the Lakers in a better spot than they were this season. Trading for Hield and being able to find a new starting point guard would be an ideal offseason for Los Angeles.
Dallas Mavericks: Collin Sexton
There are a variety of different directions the Mavericks could end up going to add more talent around Luka Doncic. Dallas does not possess the necessary NBA Draft assets or young talents necessary to outcompete rival teams when it comes to compiling a trade offer for a star player. They will need to be more modest.
The Mavericks do not need to add a secondary ball handler that is required to run the half-court offense. That responsibility is already executed at a high-level by Doncic. Instead, a player like Collin Sexton could focus on scoring at a high-level and that’s something he displayed the ability to do last season with the Cavaliers. He already has been mentioned in NBA trade rumors this offseason, too.
