Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon
Indiana Pacers Receive: G Jalen Brunson, F/C Maxi Kleber, F/G Josh Green and 2025 first-round pick
Malcolm Brogdon would be the point guard help that the Dallas Mavericks need going forward. He would create an intriguing backcourt with Luka Doncic for Dallas to rely on moving forward.
There has been much conversation about the Mavericks seeking a secondary ball handler to take pressure off of Doncic, but Dallas ideally is seeking one ‘with some size.’ Brogdon, 6-foot-5, would absolutely check all of those necessary boxes.
Kristaps Porzingis will not be involved in this trade which would keep Dallas in contention even further. Of course, the Mavericks could still decide to move him in a separate NBA trade scenario, but for the sake of simplicity, that would not be factored in on the surface in this one.
Jalen Brunson would be the replacement going back to Indiana. He has given the Mavericks plenty of minutes off the bench over the last couple years. Maxi Kleber and Josh Green, along with some first-round draft capital, would also be going back to Dallas.

The Pacers would essentially be receiving plenty of intriguing role players to pair with Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, and, of course, the All-NBA Bubble First-Team scorer in TJ Warren. Much like Porzingis, Myles Turner also could very well still be moved in a separate NBA trade scenario.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Malcolm Brogdon would benefit both sides the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers.
