Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are in a similar boat as the Washington Wizards. It is difficult to get big-named players to sign there unless they pay a pretty penny, as they did with Gordon Hayward before the 2020 season. That is why taking a risk on a former All-Star like Kristaps Porzingis would make sense.

The Hornets need frontcourt help this offseason, as Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo are both free agents. Replacing them with Porzingis would represent a sizable upgrade on both ends of the court.

Watching Porzingis run pick-and-roll variations with the Hornets at the top of the key with LaMelo Ball would be a lot of fun to watch.

The Hornets offense would be a difficult unti to stop as they would have scorers at every position on the court with Ball and Porzingis being joined by possibly Terry Rozier, Hayward and P.J. Washington.

Charlotte is on the cusp of being a playoff team in the Eastern Conference, as they lost in the Play-In Tournament to the Indiana Pacers. Porzingis would help them avoid that game altogether and be a tough out for whoever they matchup with.
