Who is the player? Buddy Hield
The Sacramento Kings and Oklahoma City Thunder are two teams that reportedly have an interest in acquiring Kyle Kuzma. Given his current standing with James and that the Lakers aren’t likely to have a very high asking price, a deal could be struck.
“(Kyle) Kuzma’s value is not extremely high right now, but both the Kings and Thunder have interest in him. That isn’t to say they’ll make an aggressive offer, but they’re definitely teams to watch in this situation. It isn’t likely that the Lakers’ asking price will be sky high, and it seems like a deal could be had for any team that believes in Kuzma’s potential and talent.”
The Lakers want to contend for titles right away, so unless the Thunder are going to surrender Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in a package revolving around Kuzma, trade with them is unlikely. Los Angeles wouldn’t have much interest in the draft picks that Oklahoma City has to offer.
With that in mind, the attention turns to the Kings. A match certainly could be made here, as the best player the Lakers could target in a return for Kuzma is Sacramento sharpshooter, Buddy Hield.

There have been rumors of Hield being on the block for a while now, and if he still wishes to be traded, the Lakers and Kings could strike a deal centered around the two.
