Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have to do something about their center depth this offseason. Bam Adebayo is the only listed center on the roster and they need to get him some help. Adding someone of Andre Drummond’s caliber to their second unit would be a strong start.
Miami’s interest in Drummond goes back to when he was bought out by the Cavaliers before he opted to sign with the Lakers.
The dots haven’t stopped being connected between the two parties, as there have been some rumors that the Heat are interested in signing Drummond this offseason and the match makes sense.
Drummond could anchor their second unit as another scoring option with Tyler Herro off the bench. His shortcomings defensively should be less impactful playing against second unit bigs than as a starter.

Having someone such as Drummond on the roster would also give the Heat some insurance in case Adebayo misses time. While he does not bring the same playmaking or defensive versatility to the table, Drummond would provide a presence on the glass and a scoring threat for the Heat.
