New York Knicks Receive: CJ McCollum and 2022 second-round pick

Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Obi Toppin, G Immanuel Quickley, F Kevin Knox and 2021 first-round pick

As I previously mentioned, the Knicks don’t have many players to include in trades that doesn’t make things complicated. With that in mind, Toppin and Quickley are easily their two most enticing trade pieces, given the makeup of the current roster.

Both were first-round selections by New York last offseason, and they showed signs of potential as rookies (more so Quickley). If Portland is moving in a direction of blowing things up, getting younger is a viable route this offseason.

Both Toppin and Quickley could be viewed as long-term pieces for the roster. Knox could also be involved in the trade, giving the Trail Blazers three new players that are all 23 years old or younger.

The Knicks could include a first-round pick or two to ensure a deal gets done between both sides. For New York to form a trio of Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and McCollum, they would need to get creative with a trade with Portland.
