Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?
Dennis Schroder was solid for the Lakers this season, but with him wanting a large, long-term contract, trading for Terry Rozier would be a much better option for the Lakers both in the short-term and long-term.
Right now, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the only true “untouchables” on the Lakers’ roster, as Kuzma and Harrell are both guys that they would trade in a heartbeat if there was an opportunity to acquire a third All-Star talent.
Los Angeles may not go after Rozier initially, especially since they are rumored to be interested in guys like Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan, but adding Terry Rozier would be a very smart move for the Lakers to make.
This past season, Rozier averaged 20.4 points, 4.2 assists and shot 38.9% from three-point range. He can score with or without the ball primarily in his hands, but the best aspect of trading for Terry Rozier from the Lakers’ point of view is that he is only 27-years-old.

Who knows if Los Angeles would want to keep Rozier long-term or not, especially with him being in the final year of his contract, but he is exactly the kind of athletic guard that any team in this league can build around over the next few years.
With the Lakers chasing rings right now, they need solid contributors in their backcourt and Terry Rozier is exactly the kind of offensive-minded guard Los Angeles should be focused on acquiring this offseason.
