New York Knicks Receive: G Terry Rozier
Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Mitchell Robinson, No. 21 Pick, No. 32 Pick
Terry Rozier signed a large contract when he was initially brought to the Charlotte Hornets. Many felt as though the team was overpaying him at the time. He has gone above-and-beyond living up to the expectations that were bestowed upon him, however.
Rozier could be the player that is moved so that the Hornets could clear up some space. He would be the lone piece going to New York and would give them an immediate starting point guard.
The New York Knicks would be able to help the Hornets as well. Mitchell Robinson and a first- and second-round pick in this year’s draft would be going to the Hornets. This would give them a standout rim protector who is highly efficient as a play finisher near the basket.
There is a clear need for the Knicks to add a more dynamic shot creator on the perimeter this offseason. There was too much responsibility entrusted in Julius Randle to lead the half-court offense and the results were underwhelming in the playoffs.

Rozier is not an All-Star talent like a Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard, but he can get the job done as a pull-up shooting threat. RJ Barrett still has time to grow into being a top scoring threat for a successful team and acquiring Rozier would help that progression occur naturally.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Terry Rozier would impact both the Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks.
