San Antonio Spurs Receive: F Ben Simmons and 2026 first-round pick
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Dejounte Murray, G Lonnie Walker, F Keldon Johnson and 2024 first-round pick
For the San Antonio Spurs, getting Simmons is a move that the organization would make in hopes they could aid him in his development on offense. We all know Simmons is an elite defender and he’s a gifted passer with the ball in his hands.
However, the lack of a jump shot and the lack of an aggressiveness to look for his own shot is holding him back. Greg Popovich would be a perfect coach for Simmons that could possibly unlock the best version of the former first-round pick.
In a trade for Simmons, the Spurs don’t have much star-talent to offer the 76ers. Nevertheless, Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker, and Keldon Johnson would be a nice start.
Murray is a talented point guard, but Philadelphia would like to see better efficiency from him at the three-point line. As for Walker and Johnson, both are developing players that had the best years of their career in 2020-21.

Both could become starters at some point, but they need time to fine-tune their games a bit further. The 76ers need to improve their spacing around Joel Embiid, and it remains to be seen if this trade achieves that.
