Among the dark-horse teams that could inquire about Damian Lillard, the Boston Celtics are an interesting team to watch. It goes without saying that Jayson Tatum is the one player on Boston’s roster that is untouchable.

Could the Celtics make Jaylen Brown available if Lillard is a possibility in a trade? With Kemba Walker now being traded, Boston does need a new point guard to orchestrate the offense.

For the Trail Blazers, if Lillard is keen on wanting out, getting a player like Brown wouldn’t be the worst outcome. Brown has developed into one of the better two-way wing players in the NBA in recent seasons.

This season, Brown had a career year before suffering a season-ending wrist injury, notching 24.7 points, six rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He also shot 48.4 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from beyond the arc.

While losing Lillard would be detrimental to the Trail Blazers, getting Brown in exchange for the three-point marksman would give them a new franchise cornerstone to build around.
