The NBA Draft Lottery is always one of the most exciting events of the NBA offseason not just because we get to figure out who will end up with the top picks in the NBA Draft, but because of the suspense that is created from Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum slowly opening each numbered envelope to determine who gets what pick inside the Top-14. 

In one of the most dramatic spectacles you will see in an offseason event in sports, the NBA Draft Lottery is a very “on-the-edge-of-your-seat” type event because you just never know who will jump inside of the Top-4 and who will see their draft dreams crushed!

This year, there was plenty of drama in the Draft Lottery and plenty of storylines to talk about that could have major implications on the NBA for many years to come.

The Detroit Pistons won the lottery and secured the #1 pick, with the Rockets getting the No. 2 pick, the Cavaliers getting the No. 3 pick and the Raptors getting the #4 pick. 

While those four teams celebrated, other teams like the Timberwolves, Bulls and even the Thunder watched the Draft Lottery with pure disappointment with the thoughts of “what could have been.”
