Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Kemba Walker
OKC Thunder Receive: F Kyle Kuzma, C Montrezl Harrell, and 2025 first-round pick
The goal for the Lakers this offseason is to find a third option that can mesh well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. In all likeliness, Walker’s contract and injury concerns will prevent Los Angeles from pursuing a trade for the experienced guard. But in the scenario that the Lakers do want Walker, then Kyle Kuzma would be included in most of the hypothetical trade packages.
Kuzma signed a three-year extension with Los Angeles last offseason that is going to begin in 2021-2022. The Utah product will be making $13 million a year, which helps work toward absorbing Walker’s massive contract. To make the trade work, the Lakers can add Monterezl Harrell in a sign-and-trade with Harrell having a player option this summer.

Los Angeles doesn’t have much to offer Oklahoma City, but getting Kuzma and Harrell wouldn’t be a terrible haul. And we all know how much Sam Presti loves first-round picks.
The Thunder know that Walker isn’t worth much on the trade market, so it’s very possible they’d accept this trade. The only concern is that the Lakers aren’t intrigued by the idea of adding Walker in the first place.
