This season, Gordon Hayward averaged 19.6 points per game. He showed that he can still get it done at all three levels and thrive in the mid-range game. Hayward will have to stay healthy to be productive. He has struggled with injuries over the years and this is something that has impacted the Warriors as well.
Klay Thompson missed the previous two seasons with injuries while Stephen Curry was out most of last season. Golden State expects to be at full strength during the 2021-22 season. This means they will be back to contending and a trade for another star would solidify that notion.
The Warriors will be in the market for big names as long as Curry is on the roster. He is the main piece that will keep them as contenders. It will be interesting to see which players the team targets once the offseason comes around.
