Why This Is A Good Trade For Charlotte

This is a good trade for the Charlotte Hornets because they are able to flip an expiring contract for two productive players. The Hornets need to add some consistent depth to their roster, and a good way of doing that is dealing away Terry Rozier to add a pair of solid players.

The additions of Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro give the Hornets a nice combination of players and a perfect balance of youth and experience. Dragic has made himself a nice living in the league for 13 years for a variety of different teams, while Herro is a young prospect who has shown flashes of being an elite talent for the Heat and could be a player to build around for the Hornets if this deal comes to fruition.

Dragic, this season, averaged 13.4 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 4.4 assists per game off the bench for the Heat, while Herro put up 15.1 points per game, 5.0 total rebounds per game, and 3.4 assists per game off the bench as well. The Hornets could enhance their bench significantly with this deal going down.

Rozier is a great talent and he fits nicely with LaMelo Ball, but a back-court of Herro and Ball would be extremely intriguing as well. Dragic being thrown into the package would give Charlotte a much-needed bench veteran. This deal makes a ton of sense for the Hornets if it ends up being available.
