3 biggest takeaways from Game 3 between the Nuggets and Blazers

With the series even at 1-1, the Nuggets traveled to Portland for Game 3 against the Trail Blazers in a very exciting and thrilling NBA playoff game. After a combined 123 points were scored in the first-half, just 40 combined points were scored in the third-quarter before an explosion of offense again in the fourth quarter. 

The stars showed out for their teams, as Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum all filled the stat sheets, but at the end of the day, Denver’s three-point shooting elevated them past the Blazers, giving the Nuggets a 2-1 series lead and taking back home court advantage.

In what was yet another high scoring affair between the Nuggets and the Blazers, Game 3 made it very clear that this is going to be a 7-game series and one of the best matchups in the NBA playoffs, so far.

Both teams are just so similar to one another and with every single game in this series coming down to the fourth quarter, we can expect much of the same excitement in Game 4 on Saturday.
