Damian Lillard is not to be touched right now:
Damian Lillard had a great Game 1 against the Nuggets, propelling the Trail Blazers to a victory, but in Game 2, he was even better. Dame had a solid start to the game, scoring 10 points, including two three-pointers, in the first-quarter, but he exploded in the second-quarter and looked unguardable out there.

From pulling up near the half-court logo to draining 30-foot jumpers with a hand in his face, Lillard could not seem to miss in the second-quarter of Game 2, going on to score 22 points in the quarter, including 6 three-pointers!
Now, through two games in this series, Dame has scored 34 points and 42 points and is shooting 14-28 (50%) from three-point range. Not to mention, he has played 40+ minutes in every single game of this series so far, so he is barely taking a breather on the bench while putting up these insane numbers!
Right now, Damian Lillard cannot be stopped and the Nuggets should not really try to focus all of their attention on him. In Monday night’s victory, Lillard went off, but the Nuggets did a great job of defending the paint and not letting some of the other key players on the Trail Blazers get going.
Robert Covington was only held to 3 points, Jusuf Nurkic to 7 points and Carmelo Anthony, who had a fantastic Game 1 scoring 18 points, was held to just 5 points in Game 2. Lillard is going to do his thing and is locked in right now, which is why Denver should be happy with their defensive performance in Game 2, even though Lillard went off and will likely continue to go off in this series.
