The Phoenix Suns do not back down to anybody and always have an answer
Not having Chris Paul on the court in key moments of this game was tough for the Suns, but other guys like Cam Payne and Cameron Johnson stepped up and provided the Suns with huge minutes, which is why they were in the game right until the end.
Devin Booker had yet another fantastic game, scoring 31 points, which is why the Suns should be very happy with the way they fought and battled in Game 2. They would have loved to go up 2-0 on the Lakers, but the Suns went 24-12 on the road this series, so they are more than capable of stealing a game back in Staples Center.

Not only did the Suns knock down some key three-point shots in the second-half to pull themselves back into Game 2 after trailing by double-figures, but they locked in defensively at times and showed why this series has the potential to go to a Game 7.
From rotating around on defense when the Lakers were moving the ball to contesting the Lakers’ bigs inside, the Suns defense was terrific in the second-half of Game 2 and there were numerous times that they forced a 24-second violation on the Lakers.
Defense has to be the point of emphasis for this team moving forward because at the end of the day, while they played really strong team defense, they gave up way too many easy baskets early on in the game. AD and LeBron are going to have big games, that is inevitable, but things like giving up 24 points to Dennis Schroder, mostly on layup attempts, and 5 offensive rebounds to Andre Drummond is unacceptable.
Phoenix will make the adjustments for Game 3 and be ready to play, but taking away easy driving lanes for Schroder and boxing out Drummond are two keys for the Suns moving forward in this series.
