Nothing has gone right for the Bulls over the years and given their fallout at the end of the season, they could be headed for even more turmoil in the offseason. The Bulls desperately need their first-round picks this year, but they only have a 20.2% chance of keeping their pick given their obligation to the Orlando Magic.

After trading for Nikola Vucevic at the NBA trade deadline this year, Chicago sent the rights to their 2021 first-round pick to the Orlando Magic with the pick being Top-4 selected. It seems like a longshot for the Bulls to jump inside the Top-4 now, so the Magic could very well end up with two lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Orlando traded away Vucevic, Gordon and Fournir at the NBA trade deadline this year, signaling another rebuilding process for them, but this time, they already have a foundation set in place. Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz are two young building blocks for the Magic coming off of injuries and with Cole Anthony, Chuma Okeke, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr. and others, this team is actually way ahead of schedule.

It is going to take some time for the Magic to be able to turn themselves into anything relevant again in the Eastern Conference, but with a lot of young talent and the possibility of adding two high-level talents in the draft this year with Chicago’s pick, they could immediately make some noise next year, even though they will likely miss the playoffs again.

Chicago needs something to go their way for once and if it does not, then they will have to scramble to answer in free agency. If Chicago’s pick goes to Orlando, expect the Bulls to be very aggressive when free agency begins and be big spenders, going after some of the biggest names available this summer.
