Draymond Green and Juan Toscano-Anderson did a fantastic job on Anthony Davis
The Lakers may have won the game from a LeBron James miracle three-point shot and some great defensive stops down the stretch, but that should not discredit the job Draymond Green and Juan Toscano-Anderson did on Anthony Davis all night long.
AD still ended up finishing the game with 25 points on 10-24 shooting from the floor, but Green and Toscano-Anderson were pests on him all night long and were constantly getting inside of his head. Whether it was double-teaming him in the low-post or doing their best to push him outside of the paint and box him out on rebounding attempts, these two guys for the Warriors were spectacular in their defensive efforts.

When guarded by just Draymond Green last night, Anthony Davis had 9 points on 4-13 shooting, he had 2 turnovers and had his shot blocked twice. AD is one of the toughest players to guard in the NBA given his versatility and size, yet Green was able to contain him and lock him up in crucial moments of this game, which is why Green deserves a ton of credit and is why he is one of the best defenders in the entire league.
He may not be a guy that can go out there and score 20+ points every single night, but the impact Draymond Green has on the Warriors may be just as great of an impact as some of the All-NBA performers have on their teams.
Defensively, Draymond Green is as good as it gets in the NBA and with a “mini-Draymond” in Juan Toscano-Anderson, as the Warriors’ front-office likes to call him, the Warriors have two guys who may be undersized in the paint, but are as tough as anybody in the league on the defensive-end of the court.
