In one of the most hyped up games of the season that felt like Game 7 of the NBA Finals, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers took on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. If I had to sum up this game in one word it would be: WOW!

This game was absolutely everything we expected it to be and then some! From Draymond Green playing some of the best defense anybody has ever played in a single game to Stephen Curry knocking down miracle shots to LeBron James hitting the game-winning three-pointer from 34-feet for the Lakers with 58.2 seconds left in the game, this may have been one of the greatest NBA games we have seen over the last decade and it was only a play-in game!

There is a lot to dive in and talk about pertaining to this 7-seed play-in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, but before we do, we have to touch on what is now at stake for both teams.

The Lakers now draw a first-round matchup as the 7-seed, taking on the 2-seeded Phoenix Suns, a team that beat them 2-1 in the regular season series and a team that may be one of the hottest teams in the league entering the postseason, no pun intended!

For the Warriors, they now face the Memphis Grizzlies in a “winner-takes-all” showdown for the 8-seed. Given the way they played against the Lakers and led pretty much the entire game up until the final few minutes of the fourth quarter, the Warriors look like a team nobody wants to play right now, but can they overcome this loss in Los Angeles to beat the Grizzlies?

Let’s dive in and take a look at the three biggest takeaways from Wednesday night’s fantastic play-in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors!
