Over the last month, there has been a ton of speculation of who would have to face off in the 7/8 matchup in the Western Conference play-in game and it was widely said that the Warriors would be one of those teams, but who would be the other? Well, we finally have our answer and this may be one of the best NBA “postseason” games we will ever see!

LeBron James and the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers are the 7-seed this season and potential MVP candidate Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are the 8-seed. The LeBron James vs. Stephen Curry rivalry continues in the play-in game this year and boy is this going to be a game to see!

At long last, the Lakers are finally healthy, as both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are back on the court, as well as Dennis Schroder, who was dealing with health and safety protocols. Fully healthy and with the addition of Andre Drummond, the Lakers still are one of the heavy favorites to repeat as champions this year.

On the other side of things, the Golden State Warriors played this entire season without Klay Thompson and had to deal with numerous injuries to key players, but the one constant of their all season long was that Stephen Curry was the best player in the league.

He had arguably the best season of his career this year and given the monumental performances he has had during the second-half of the year, the Lakers and any team that has to play the Warriors from this point on is going to have their hands full trying to guard #30!

I cannot wait for this game to be played and with that said, let’s dive into my four bold predictions for this game, including who I see coming out victorious.
