Now, they have solidified themselves as a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference behind the play of their star duo – Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

While the Knicks have managed to improve significantly this season, they still could benefit from adding a more dynamic option at the point guard position. Derrick Rose has been getting the job done off-the-bench but a more potent threat in the starting group could go a long way.
The Knicks will be in a position to be able to spend this offseason. New York has preserved its cap space nicely by taking chances on players who have stepped up in larger roles that otherwise were overlooked around the NBA. Could a revitalization attempt of John Wall’s career be the next gamble that pays off significantly for the Knicks?
There will be options for the Knicks in NBA free agency and also by going the trade route when considering the draft assets they acquired in the Kristaps Porzingis trade. Going out and signing Wall after a buyout wouldn’t force them to break the bank – making it a legitimately intriguing option.
The Knicks have held their hat on defense this season and Wall’s athleticism and ability to force turnovers would align with that quite well. He’d bring a more dynamic element offensively in terms of being able to get into the paint to wreak some havoc on opposing defenses.
