Decide on Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala’s team options
The Miami Heat will not have much cap space entering the offseason, but Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala both have team options for the 2021-22 season that combine for just under $35M in cap space.

Dragic is owed $19.4M next season should the Heat pick up his option and Iguodala is set to be owed $15M if the Heat keep him. Both of their contracts and whether or not they will remain in Miami depends on how this team does in the playoffs this year, but nonetheless, if the Heat are going to be pursuing a big name in free agency, both guys could be leveraged as a result.
Goran Dragic is now 35-years-old and Andre Iguodala is now 37-years-old. Both of these veteran players are in the final few years of their careers and with them eating away at the Heat’s valuable cap space, Miami could look to move on from one or both of these guys.
They both are key role players off-the-bench for the Heat and can still play their roles perfectly, but they are both being way over paid for their value to the team and quite honestly, the Heat could probably find themselves in a better position to contend with this potential $35M in cap space that getting rid of both Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala would free up.
It would definitely be a surprise to see both of these players on the Heat’s opening day roster, especially for their current deals that they have now and not smaller, close to minimum deals.
