Why the Bulls have no shot at making the NBA Play-In Tournament

Zach LaVine just missed 11 straight games and Nikola Vucevic is dealing with an injury

It almost seemed like the Bulls season ended a few weeks ago when Zach LaVine was ruled out due to health and safety protocols. LaVine has not played since April 14th and has missed the Bulls’ last 11 games due to COVID-19 related protocols.

While they have Nikola Vucevic to try and replicate LaVine’s production, he himself has been dealing with an adductor injury and has missed two straight games. Zach LaVine should be returning within the next few days, but he has missed three weeks and who knows if he will be able to come back without any “rust” on him.

This Bulls team goes as far as LaVine and Vucevic are able to carry them and with them both having question marks around them in terms of their health at this point in the season, it just does not look good for the Bulls to potentially make the NBA Play-In Tournament.

There is not enough time for Chicago to make up ground in the standings and with their two best players not 100% ready to go, the Bulls need a miracle to happen at this point to have any chance at a postseason berth.
