New Orleans Pelicans
New Orleans is currently 2.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the 10-seed in the Western Conference and it seems like they are going to come up just short of making the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
With Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, the Pelicans have two All-Star talents on their roster that can definitely lead this team to success, but they are missing that extra talent that can push them over the edge and make them true contenders in the Western Conference.
Lonzo Ball is an excellent talent that they will need to keep in NBA free agency, but the Pelicans are definitely a team that will be looking to make a big move via an offseason trade. Eric Bledsoe is owed $18.1M next season and Steven Adams is owed $17M, making these two veterans key offseason trade leverage for the Pelicans.
These are the two guys they could look to move to bring in another All-Star caliber talent, the only question is who could they possibly target? Re-signing Lonzo Ball will basically take up all of their available cap room in NBA free agency, so an offseason trade seems like the only plausible way for the Pelicans to make a big roster addition.

Expect the Pelicans to be aggressive in pursuit of more talent in the offseason and expect them to move one of their high-cost veteran players to try and build their team into an immediate contender in the West.
