Does this trade make sense for the Utah Jazz?
Absolutely not! This trade makes close to no sense for the Utah Jazz and for one reason only — they are currently the 1-seed in the best conference in the NBA!
All season long, the Utah Jazz have been atop of the Western Conference standings, so why would they go and tear their roster apart in the offseason? This team has been building for years now and they are finally finding success, which is why this team is going to stay together for a long time to come.
When you look at Utah’s roster, Mike Conley and Joe Ingles stick out as being 33-years-old, but other than those two, the rest of this roster is fairly young. Donvoan Mitchell is only 24-years-old and is already a superstar and both Rudy Gobert and Jordan Clarkson are only 28-years-old.

The Jazz have a chance to be a special team in this league for many years to come and compete for a title for many years to come, so trading arguably their third-most important player offensively and someone who is leading the league in bench scoring this year for two role players does not make much sense.
The only moves Utah will be making in the offseason are those that add more talent to their roster at the expense of none of their core guys.
