Charlotte Hornets
This season has been a breakout year for the Charlotte Hornets and their young talents. After executing a sign-and-trade for Gordon Hayward in the offseason and after drafting LaMelo Ball third overall in the draft, the Hornets finally started putting the pieces together and have found a ton of success on the court this season.
Charlotte is currently the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference and while they may have to fight for their playoff lives in the play-in tournament, this is still a huge achievement for a team that has not played postseason basketball since 2016.
Up-and-down their roster, the Hornets have a ton of young, athletic talent that are only going to get better, but their frontcourt is a mess and will need to be addressed in the offseason. Cody Zeller is set to become a free agent and with the Hornets likely to let him go in free agency, they will have a need for more frontcourt talent immediately.
Kevin Love is not going to be able to join this team and make them a contender in the Eastern Conference, but he is yet another solid, consistent option for them to add to their frontcourt alongside PJ Washington and Jalen McDaniels.

Gordon Hayward is really the lone veteran leader of this Hornets team, which is why adding Kevin Love to help lead this young team makes a lot of sense.
