#1 Los Angeles Clippers
Every year, it seems like the narrative is that “this is finally the Clippers year,” yet year-after-year, the Clippers are faced with postseason disappointment. Last year, after being up 3-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals to the Denver Nuggets, the Clippers fell apart and their championship hopes last season went out the door.
Now, with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and a ton of experienced talent on their roster, the Clippers may have their best chance in years to potentially win a championship. All season long, it seems like the Clippers have been underrated for some reason, but they are one of the league’s top overall teams.
They are the league’s top offensively rated team and with them ranking 11th in defensive rating, the Clippers can punish their opponents on both ends of the court. A Western Conference Finals matchup of the Lakers vs. the Clippers would definitely be full of action and surely be one of the better playoff series in a while!

Not only do the Lakers not want to play the Clippers because of their rivalry with one another, but because of all of the talent this year’s Clippers team possesses. Not only would the Lakers have to gameplan for both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, but they would also have to figure out ways to stop their role players in Nic Batum, Marcus Morris Sr. and Reggie Jackson.
The Clippers are definitely one of the biggest challengers to the Los Angeles Lakers this season and with their best chance to win a title, this may finally be the year that the Los Angeles Clippers break through and make a deep playoff run.
