The Memphis Grizzlies have quickly turned into an intriguing destination for free agents in the offseason. They are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference after missing out on the postseason by one game last season. They are trending in the right direction and another strong prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft could continue their rebuild and take them up another notch.
It began when the Grizzlies drafted Ja Morant with the second-overall pick in 2019. The Murray State product came into the league with huge expectations and did not disappoint. He is already looking like a star and is the franchise player in Memphis. Now, it is about putting the right players around him.

Memphis could be looking to bolster their backcourt along with Morant in the offseason. There are plenty of options to look at during the 2021 NBA Draft.
If Memphis wants to add a big, this means that Jonas Valanciunas could be on the move in the offseason. He was a name that surfaced in NBA rumors in the offseason but did not get sent away. This is a strong draft class and one that has plenty of talent all over the board.
This will workout in Memphis’ favor as they will be in the middle of the pack. Any team would like to add Cade Cunningham or Evan Mobley but the Grizzlies will not be in position for that.
