No. 1. Luka Doncic – Dallas Mavericks

There are not enough good things that can be said about Luka Doncic, especially since he is one of the faces of the NBA at just 22-years-old. Doncic has been playing professional basketball ever since he was 16-years-old in Europe, which is one of the main reasons why he is so good now, but right now, Luka is on-track to possibly becoming the greatest international player in NBA history.

Now in his third season, Luka Doncic for his career has averaged 25.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 7.7 assists and has shot 45.7% from the floor. While his three-point shooting is not amongst the best in the league and is very much average, he always seems to make the shots that matter the most near the end of the game.

Every time Doncic steps out on the court, he is a triple-double threat and given his ball-handling skills and basketball IQ, he serves as the Mavericks point guard even though he grew up playing off-the-ball.

Luka Doncic just makes everything look so effortless when he is out there and from his first game in the NBA, he just looked so comfortable on the court. He has continued to improve and get better and it is just a matter of time before Doncic is named the league MVP.

Entering the season, he was a favorite to win the award this year, but given the Mavericks’ struggles at times this season, it is hard to imagine that he would win the award since his team is not one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Overall though, Luka Doncic himself is not only one of the best young players in the entire league, but he is right up there with the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James and Steph Curry for being the best player in the league period.
