Clint Capela – Atlanta Hawks

It seems extremely likely that both Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid will be named All-NBA performers this season, taking two of the three center spots, but who could potentially fill that third and final spot? Well, Clint Capela is definitely a dark-horse candidate for Third Team All-NBA at the center position and for good reason.

Other guys like Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert and Nikola Vucevic are also up for discussion for this recognition, but Clint Capela has stood out this year because of everything he can and has done for the Atlanta Hawks.

Trae Young may be their most valuable player and best player on the court talent wise, but Clint Capela is the Hawks most important player because of all of the ways he impacts the game. Not only is Capela fourth on the Hawks in scoring, averaging about 15.4 points per game, but he ranks first in the league in rebounding, third in the league in blocks and has the 11th best Player Efficiency Rating out of all players in the league.

Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic rank first and second in the league in PER, with Capela being the third-best center in this category. All-around, Clint Capela is such a huge part of the Atlanta Hawks this season and he is one of the most underrated two-way centers in this league.

He may not be the flashiest name, nor the best offensive talent based on shooting skills and versatility, but Clint Capela gets the job done and has the stats to back up why he should be on the All-NBA roster this season.
