DeMar DeRozan – San Antonio Spurs
DeMar DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs ahead of the 2018-19 season for Kawhi Leonard and since then, DeRozan has continued to prove why he is one of the top wings in the league. Not only can he score, but his ability to almost be like a point-forward has kept him as an All-Star caliber player in this league, but someone that is wasting the back-half of his prime.
DeRozan is now 31-years-old and with him set to be a free agent at the conclusion of the season, there is a real chance that the 4x All-Star could depart San Antonio and head elsewhere. The Spurs are a great organization and have been for years, but they are in no shape to contend for a championship right now.
As a result, DeMar DeRozan would not be doing himself and his legacy a favor by re-signing with them. Even with DeRozan, the Spurs are still years away from being legit contenders in the Western Conference again, which is why he should look to sign elsewhere in the offseason.

Other than padding his individual stats, DeRozan really has nothing to gain with the Spurs. He has consistently been one of the top wing players in the league, which is why he deserves a chance to win a title.
Signing with a playoff-contending team and championship-contender in the offseason is the best move DeMar DeRozan could make for the remainder of his career to not only have a chance to win a ring, but to make the most of the last good years he has left in this league.
