No. 2 – Denver Nuggets upgrade their frontcourt; adds Aaron Gordon (Mar. 25, 2021)

After making the Western Conference Finals last season, the Denver Nuggets saw some roster changes during the offseason, as they lost forward Jerami Grant to the Detroit Pistons. Up until the trade deadline, the Nuggets were kicking themselves all season long for letting Grant go, which is why they went out and add Aaron Gordon.

Since adding Gordon, the Nuggets are 7-1 and now currently find themselves with the 4th best record in the Western Conference, ahead of the likes of the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Led by MVP front-runner Nikola Jokic, this Denver Nuggets team is extremely versatile and they have plenty of ways to not only score, but to defend. With one of the tallest starting lineups in the league, the Nuggets are definitely a team to watch in the Western Conference playoff picture this year, as they definitely have a shot to make the NBA Finals.

Jamal Murray has grown into a superstar point guard, we know what Nikola Jokic can do, and with other key role players in Michael Porter Jr, Will Baton and now Aaron Gordon, they have many ways to score and plenty of high-level talents to turn to.

This year may be the Nuggets’ best shot to win a title and win the Western Conference, depending on the status of Jamal Murray after his knee injury. With all the talent in the Western Conference, the Nuggets’ championship window is small, but with everybody on their roster playing the best basketball of their careers, anything is possible.
