This Pacers-Wizards offseason trade is focused on Myles Turner

Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?

Over the years, Myles Turner has constantly proved himself to be an excellent two-way player, yet the Pacers have too much talent to give him a chance to expand his game. His numbers have taken a hit as a result and Indiana may not be the best fit for him anymore.

If the Pacers were to trade Turner now while his value is at an all-time high, they could potentially get a young, promising big man in Thomas Bryant and a sharpshooting frontcourt player in Davis Bertans, but is this enough value for a two-way stud like Turner?

The easy answer is no, which is why the Pacers will likely hold onto Turner in trade talks with the Washington Wizards. This season, Turner has been a huge part of what the Pacers do defensively and will likely see his role increase since T.J. Warren is going to miss the remainder of the season.

Moving forward, Myles Turner is definitely still a player to watch in trade talks league-wide, but right now, it seems like the Pacers have no intentions of trading him, especially for a player coming off a season-long injury and a guy like Bertans who does not possess much of an upside.

Heading into the offseason, it makes more sense for the Pacers to be of the mindset of keeping Myles Turner long-term and finding more ways to get him involved offensively, but if the right deal comes their way, they may be more than willing to discuss scenarios to move Turner.
