1. Miami Heat

The idea of adding Kawhi Leonard in the offseason should be considered a Hail Mary for many teams in the league. This is something that Pat Riley and the Miami Heat have pulled off before. James and Chris Bosh joined Dwyane Wade in Miami once upon a time. Let’s not forget that. Leonard coming to town would be another prayer answered.

In 2019, Jimmy Butler was one player who tried to persuade Kawhi Leonard to join him with the Miami Heat. This was no surprise but Leonard ultimately went elsewhere. History can always repeat itself and after the season that the Heat are having, Butler might have to put on his recruiting cap once again.

The Miami Heat are not looking like the championship team from a season ago. Instead, inconsistencies have them at 22-24 and in eighth place in the East. There is still plenty of time to move up the standings with the poor nature of the Eastern Conference.

If Kawhi Leonard was in town, there is no chance that the Miami Heat sit in the final playoff position. They would be one of four teams fighting for the Eastern Conference crown. We have seen Riley work some magic before and it could happen once again here.
