Golden State Warriors
This season has been very bumpy for the Golden State Warriors, as many expected with Klay Thompson missing his second consecutive season. GM Bob Myers told 95.7 ‘The Game’ that the Warriors were going to “stay aggressive” at the trade deadline this year, but after rumored to be shopping Kelly Oubre Jr. and some other players, the Warriors ended up trading away Marquese Chriss and Brad Wanamaker for salary relief.
The Warriors made no moves to better themselves and no significant moves to help them in the future, which could really hurt their chances to not only make the playoffs this year, but to capitalize on building a young core for the future.
The Warriors do still have plenty of draft assets and young talents that will continue to develop into great players, but Kelly Oubre Jr. is in the final year of his contract and was reportedly drawing a lot of interest around the league.

The Warriors do not have a chance to compete for a championship this year and with Oubre Jr. set to become a free agent, it would have made a ton of sense to at least get a first-round draft pick for him. Now, they will try to make the playoffs this year and spend even more money in free agency next year to potentially keep Kelly Oubre Jr.
The Warriors had a chance to make a big move at the deadline to either add talent or “sell” a player like Kelly Oubre Jr. for future value, but they did not, which could ultimately be something they regret in the future if they do not keep the young wing and let him walk in free agency.
