4 teams who will regret not being sellers at the deadline

With the NBA trade deadline coming and going, there was plenty of action around the league, but some teams may have missed out on some big opportunities. We saw some big name players in Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic all be on the move, but did some teams miss out on trading their All-Star talents for a massive return?

One of the most surprising moves of the trade deadline this year was when the Orlando Magic decided to trade All-Star center Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls. Orlando also traded Evan Fournier to the Celtics and Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets, which is why they made some really good moves for the future of their franchise.

The Magic knew they were not going to have a chance to be anything special with their current roster, which is why they traded away Vucevic, Fournier and Gordon and in return received Wendell Carter Jr, Otto Porter Jr, Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton, three first-round picks and two second-round picks.

While they will be rebuilding now over the next few years, the Magic made the right move by being “sellers” at the trade deadline to acquire the assets necessary to hopefully turn themselves into a great, young team in the near future.

Some teams though missed out on some golden opportunities to acquire a ton of future assets, which is why they will regret not “selling” talent at the trade deadline. With that said, let’s take a look at four teams who will look back on this year’s trade deadline and regret not making some moves to ensure their future success.
