1. Impact On The Brooklyn Nets
James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets was a rumor since back in the offseason. Nothing happened until regular season games began but Brooklyn was able to create a dominant big three in hopes of winning a championship this season. What the Nets did not expect was both Durant and Irving to be off the court this season once again.
Irving has been on the off the court this season but has at least played 31 games. Durant, on the other hand, has been sidelined since Feb. 13 with a hamstring injury. This comes after missing all of last season with a torn Achilles. Harden has come to Brooklyn and has kept them at an elite status, even helping them climb up the standings even further and eventually take over the top spot in the conference.
In 31 games with the Nets, Harden is averaging 26 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 11.4 assists per game. He has taken over as the No. 1 asset in the offense and has not missed a beat. This has been extremely important as the Nets continue to get healthy over the course of the season.
James Harden came to Brooklyn and immediately showed that he is comfortable and fits well. There was a lot of criticism when the blockbuster deal was made because of the tendencies of the three stars. It has worked out well to this point and will get even stronger if Durant is able to return soon and stay on the floor.
