Kyle Lowry – Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors spent a ton of time over the last few weeks fielding calls on Kyle Lowry leading up to the trade deadline and after having a deal close to being finalized with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Raptors pulled out of negotiations last minute and decided not to trade Lowry.
Now, with the 6x All-Star being in the final year of his contract, Kyle Lowry is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2020-21 NBA season and can freely sign wherever he wants. Toronto would obviously love to keep Lowry, especially since they did not trade him at the deadline this year, but could he look to sign with the Heat, 76ers or Lakers, one of the three teams that aggressively pushed to trade for him at the deadline this year?
Kyle Lowry’s future is very much up-in-the-air at this point, which is why he could be on the move in the offseason. There are plenty of teams around the league that would entertain the idea of signing the 36-year-old point guard, especially since he could be the final piece to the puzzle for many championship contending teams around the league.

Whether it is in Toronto or somewhere else, Kyle Lowry still can contribute to a high-level for a few more seasons and could definitely be the difference maker for a team that is competing for a championship.
If Lowry becomes a free agent the Toronto Raptors lose him to another team in free agency, then not trading him away at this year’s trade deadline could go down as the worst move they have made as an organization, especially given all of the value they could have received.
