Why This Trade Would Benefit The Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks are expected to be very active at the NBA trade deadline this season and making this move could help them add depth to their roster in some areas of need. One player in particular who is a huge addition to the Hawks is Kelly Oubre Jr.
Kelly Oubre Jr, 25, has been a spark for the Golden State Warriors this season. Oubre has averaged 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists this season- all of which are higher than his current career averages.
Oubre could be a great player to add if the team winds up losing John Collins at the NBA trade deadline due to his proven ability to step up and play the forward positions.

Adding Kent Bazemore, who is a former Atlanta Hawk, would also be a nice touch in this deal because he could go on a playoff run with the team who drafted him. The Hawks haven’t made the playoffs since Bazemore has been off the roster, so bringing him back could be a bit of a good luck charm if you will.
