Why This Trade Would Benefit The Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets believe that they have a chance to come out of the West this season. They came close last year but were taken out by the Los Angeles Lakers in the conference finals. They have their dynamic duo in place but could look to continue to add necessary firepower in hopes of competing with the other top teams.

The Nuggets lost Jerami Grant in free agency and this hurt early on. Grant is a ‘3-and-D’ player that is important to have on any good team. This is a position that the team could look to improve. Lonzo Ball is not that player but he is one that needs to find a home.

The Nuggets could look to develop Ball in away that he has not been just yet. Lonzo Ball has not found himself playing for a contender over the course of his career. This is something that could help take his game to the next level right away. Denver is a team that Ball could join and not have much pressure on him.

This deal would give them a young player and one that they could develop long-term. It will be interesting to see where Lonzo Ball ends up because if he is on the trading block, there will be plenty of teams interested in his services.
