Eric Gordon – Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are a mess and it seems like everybody on their roster is available for the right price. Eric Gordon carries a hefty price tag since he is owed $75.5M through 2023, but he could be an excellent veteran addition for the Spurs to add to their rotation.

Over the course of his career Gordon has always been one of the most consistent wings in the entire league and is very productive on the offensive-end of the court. Now in his 13th season in the league, Eric Gordon has averaged 16.6 points, 2.8 assists and has shot 36.8% from three-point range over the course of his career.

Seeing as the Spurs need more help on the offensive-end of the court, adding the veteran wing could be a great addition. Not only can he be a leader in the second-unit for the Spurs, but Eric Gordon is more than capable of being one of the top offensive weapons on any team he is on.

With the amount of talent that there is in the Western Conference, San Antonio is going to have to make a move to upgrade their offensive firepower and if the asking price is not too large for Gordon, they should pull the trigger.

The Spurs are near the bottom of the league in terms of offensive-efficiency and scoring, which is why they need to make a move at the NBA trade deadline if they are to make the playoffs this year.

Adding Eric Gordon would cost the Spurs a lot of money, especially if they are going to be buying out LaMarcus Aldridge’s contract, but he could supply them with the scoring they need to solidify their playoff position for this year.
