Aaron Gordon – Orlando Magic

The Aaron Gordon sweepstakes have been heating up the last few days and it seems highly likely that the Orlando Magic will be trading him at the trade deadline this year. The only question is who will acquire the versatile forward?

The Boston Celtics seem to be the clear front-runners to trade for Gordon, but the Denver Nuggets are also a team that is high on the 25-year-old forward and could look to put together a lucrative offer to acquire him.

Now in his 7th season with the Orlando Magic, Aaron Gordon has always been one of their consistent weapons on the offensive-end of the court and this season has been no different. In 23 games, Gordon has averaged 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and has shot 40.2% from three-point range.

The improvement he has made to his outside game is what has made him such a valuable trade asset for many teams across the league and why he would fit in perfectly with the Denver Nuggets.

Finding that stretch forward to replicate the success of Jerami Grant is the only thing the Nuggets should be looking to do at the NBA trade deadline this year and Aaron Gordon can do just that.

If the Nuggets are to try and pull off this deal, then they will likely have to be ready to forfeit a couple of first-round picks and possibly two guys like Will Barton and Bol Bol. With the Celtics and other teams prepared to offer massive trade packages for Gordon, this is likely what it will take for the Nuggets to remain in the Aaron Gordon sweepstakes.
