Why This Trade Would Benefit The Orlando Magic

The Magic have made the postseason in each of the past two years. They came into this year hoping they would be back and started off hot. That has changed due to injuries and inconsistencies. The Magic are currently 13-26 and near the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

This is a situation where the Magic need to begin selling. They have plenty of trade pieces and it begins with Fournier and Aaron Gordon. Fournier has played 21 games and Gordon has been limited to 20. This has been a reason the Magic have struggled. Nikola Vucevic has been in the lineup every night and produces at a high level. This is a dump for Orlando.

Danny Green is a cheaper option that can knock down a three. They would also be landing two draft picks but Fournier is on the final year of his deal and might not be re-signing with the team. If this is the case, it would benefit to send him away for some sort of return.

The Magic have been in the middle of the pack for years now. The front office is having trouble getting them back near the top. This is not a move that will do that but it will continue their rebuild.
